Post 411 strives to maintain a shining "headquarters" facility and first-class charitable operation. While our membership routinely chips in with generous contributions of time, money, materials and volunteer labor, there are limits to what we can do alone and by ourselves. Outside funding helps keep this Post inspection ready and sustain the important work our Legionnaires perform in support of local veterans, youth and community residents.
With government grants constrained, individual and corporate donations to our cause have assumed a greater importance than ever. As you weigh your charitable giving, please keep Post 411 in mind. The American Legion is a recognized 501(c)19 non-profit organization with a D&B certification. Organizational pledges are tax deductible (click for link). Post 411 does not presently solicit donations by mail, phone or internet, but you can reference this page for information on dedicated fundraising drives this Post may be pursuing. Should current practices change, a secure, electronic PayPal channel will enable you to contribute electrionically, and deliver an email confirmation evidencing receipt of payment. As an expression of sincere gratitude, all direct donations are publicly recognized by our Post. Simply record your name as "Anonymous" when giving should you prefer to remain unidentified.
If you'd like to make a direct donation by mail, send contributions to the following address:
American Legion Post 411, P.O. Box 384, Islip, NY 11751
THANK YOU for your consideration and generous aid past, present and future! Direct pledges of financial support in ANY amount are always welcome. With just a modicum of help, Post 411 can continue its long tradition of rendering public service to vets and residents in the Town of Islip. We very politely ask that you consider pitching in when possible.
